On all our fences the posts are set 3’ ft deep on 5’ft 9” centers in concrete.
We use 2 3/8 – .095 gauge galvanized steel posts.
We use a #1 Western Red picket and/or a clear cedar picket. A clear picket doesn’t have the knots a traditional #1 cedar picket has.
Duo-Fast aluminum ring shank nails.
Each fence is constructed using 2 X 4 rough cedar rails, appearance grade.
Yes, we do recommend staining your fence 4-6 weeks after installation. However we do not recommend using a paint-based stain. ***Blackwell Fence does not stain fences***
No. After twenty plus years experience, I have yet to see a good pre-dipped product. All of our material comes direct from the mill and thus retains moisture already. We recommend letting your fence completely dry out for 4-6 weeks before you stain.
